Roughly 10 1/2 weeks from my last Lupron shot I have finally started my cycle - woohoo!
I went in today for my baseline scans and bloodwork. This is the good and bad news part. Good news - my blood levels are perfect! MEDICAL INFO ALERT! This is really for my record keeping. As of Day 2 my FSH is 4.22 (FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In general, under 6 is excellent.) Progesterone is .3 ( Often called the follicular phase level. An elevated level may indicate a lower pregnancy rate. Less than 1.5 is considered normal). My Estradiol is 29.6 (Normal is 25-75, Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating.) My lining was 5mm, and there were 8 antral follicles on my right ovary under 10mm and 4 antral follicles on my left ovary. Excellent numbers.
Now the bad part... that cyst on my right ovary is now at 5cm x 2cm, nearly the same size as the one removed during November, and its definitely an endo cyst. I also seem to have a 'sac of fluid' on my left ovary. Not sure what that means !? The doc had a very hard time even finding my left ovary this morning. I seem to be riddled with endo. I hate it. Once we get our kid making days done I'm having those ovaries ripped out.
However, the doctor is happy to continue and so am I. I start my birth control pills today and will take them for at least 2 weeks, I should be getting another call on Monday to get some dates on other things. We will start getting busy with appointments very soon.
I also had yet another acupuncture appt today, I did a lot of driving. She focused on trying to slow the cysts, lets hope it works. I kept getting little shocks today too, ouch! But I do enjoy my mini-naps.
OK. So there ya go. We begin :-)
