In the last couple of days things around here have gone haywire. Not necessarily in a completely bad way, just in a different way.
I had my one year anniversary at my current job on Tuesday. Also the same day I got a free blood test done for cholesterol which I should be hearing back about later... those students left me with some serious bruises on my arms. So anyway, I get called into my managers office. And there sits my manager & co-worker. OK, no worries... I've been a good girl :) I have been given a raise! Excellent, this extra money is coming at a good time. (edit), this co-worker...(edit) is now my new manager, effective immediately. Talk about a shock(edit). I could have thrown up right there. I'm still trying to come to terms with it.
This also ends up being the day that I ovulate, about damn time, along with some other weird goings on that has me a bit confused about my body. (Edited to add: I was totally wrong about ovulating, my temps & other signs suggest an anno cycle... moving along)
The next day Andrew, who is really loving his job & boss, gets news that his co-worker and manager have been offered another position to work from home; therefore they are leaving in 2 weeks leaving Andrew all alone in the MIS (IT) department. This is a downer since he was happy with the way things are, but its also good in the respect that he will most likely either a) Become the MIS Director and get a huge pay raise, or b) Be referred by his boss to this new company to work from home which will include a pay raise. Its a bunch of funny coincidences going on that has made us both think about life in general.
Plus, I've been reading The Celestine Prophecy which is a trip all in itself. Makes for interesting thinking though.
