
I'm not a coffee drinker, but today I did an experiment. About an inch of coffee mixed in with some hot chocolate mix... my version of a mocha. Oh, it makes me feel so much better! I can't drink caffiene during the week or after around 1 pm because I can't sleep that night... so the ocassional Coke or Mocha really does wonders on me.
I also took some good advice and forced myself into a walk/slow run yesterday and that helped me feel so much better. I'm starting from scratch again because my knees are just too painful to go full force. And even with cutting my distance back to 1 mile, and having a break, my knees just will not cooperate. Slower and consistent is what I need, even if I do want to run full pelt. Which is better, to suffer mentally or physically?? Neither thank you very much.
Also on the job front, I spoke with my manager about changing positions. She has asked and begged me in the past to change so it would help her out a bit more but I always said No. And I was happy at the time, but with the stress of my co-worker finally getting to me after a full year at my current position, I'm ready to move on. Unfortunately my manager just hired a bunch of new ladies and filled a few positions that she said I would have been perfect for. At least she knows I'll take the next one that comes along...thats an adventure on the horizon. Now, let's hope a newbie quits work soon!
