Update on work...

Well, its been awhile since I updated and things have finally settled down in the work front. While Andrew was promoted after working only 3 months in the company, he did not get the MIS Director position, but instead received a Lead MIS Technician position. This effectively rips him off of a 12K pay raise, purely because 1 person said the company doesn't need an MIS Director. Of course the manager who said this does not even visit our office, ever, and knows nothing about IT... he just happens to play a role in the very corporate company.

While this really pissed me off, I have realized I should be grateful for the pay raise he did receive. And Andrew has told them flat out, If he is not getting paid to be a Director he will NOT be doing Director duties and all related decisions will be forwarded to his manager...and Director of Finance. (edit). My boy is good at proving a point when he needs to.

As for me, well blah. There has been a company auditor visiting this week. I HATE any type of audit, how on earth can anyone WANT to do that job and be able to sleep at night? Nit-picking at every tiny thing... looks like I'm gonna be, or supposed to be, doing a bit more work. Sorry folks, but I cannot work full out all day every day, my mind is too great to be dulled by such BS. So if they decide to fire me for not doing enough, then so be it. I need something more challenging than what is effectively data entry anyways.
