Friday started off our busy weekend. We loaded up our old shed and hauled it off to the scrap metal place. Imagine a huge junk yard with mud covering the whole place and no signs telling you what to do or where to go, along with workers who just grunt.
We ended up having the truck weighed, we dumped out the tin, and got weighed again. For roughly 350 pounds of tin we got paid $10.20....seems the price of tin has gone down!? Oh well.. at least we got rid of it.
We rushed back home to be there for the delivery of the new shed which was to arrive from 12-5 but of course they had come and gone by the time we got back. Oh well, I guess we didn't really need to sign for it liked they thought was so important when we first ordered the thing.
We spent the rest of Friday building our shed. When Andrew and I build stuff together we generally argue but we do get the job done and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. He was wary of letting me wield the mighty electric screwdriver but he gave in and there were NO screwing complications :) He used his weight to snap the walls into place while I did lots of instruction reading and preparation. The roof panel placements was a big part of my job.
Anyway, tired and worn out we have a pretty nice & new shed stuffed full of valuable junk. Hooray I finally get my guest room & closets back!
