We've been busy as usual doing the work thing and enjoying the long weekends we get together.
For baby news - I'm up to 4 patches a day and finally was able to stop my Lupron. I have glue squares all over my stomach from the patches. My latest ultrasound showed a lining of 8mm, which is considered good.
I've started the antibiotics again - which make me feel so sick to my stomach its unreal. Also the PIO shots - ya know, the 1.5 inch needle in the ass ? Yup, I've got a sore butt for sure. However, all is going well with this cycle. Its tough, but much easier going than a fresh one. I could do these every month if we had enough embryos, but we only have the one.
I have some blood tests being done tomorrow morning super early (followed by a massage treatment). If those results are good then the transfer will be on Monday! No time set just yet....plus the little bugger still has to survive the defrost setting in a microwave :-)
For work news - there is a position that has become available for a Medicaid/Medicare Manager. My good friend had the position before and left it because she didn't like the micro-management aspect of the job, and a few other reasons. I have expressed interest because I'm at the age now to move up in the company and I have more experience with the company than other ladies there.
If the cycle does not work this time then I'll be able to really throw myself into the job - assuming I get it. It will be more hours but a lot more money! I figured that without a degree if I went to another company I would have to start all over again and work my way up. But at this place, I've worked in pretty much all areas... Accounts Payable, Medicare Billing, LME Billing and some Medicaid Billing - plus what I did 10 years ago! I'm aiming for 4 days a week in Charlotte and 1 day working from home. Not sure if they'll go for that - and honestly if they won't then thats a deal-breaker.
One other person has asked questions about the job, so she may get it. I should find out more next week. And if I don't get the job, then I'll still be happy with the hours and work I'm doing now. :)
So, thats the update for now.
