David & Rachel had their check ups & first (2mth) vaccinations today. Rachel is 22 inches long and weighs 9lbs 11oz. David is 21.75 inches long and weighs 8lbs 13oz. Both are growing well but Dr. Golub wants to keep them on the 27/cal formula mix.

Rachel was unusually fussy and they both hated the shots, but seemed to survive it pretty well. Considering everything else they have been through this should have been a breeze. They are both smiling & cooing now and are able to lift their heads pretty good. David seems stronger in his movements but Rachel is catching up. She is ahead as far as eating goes and sleeping pretty good. Both are fussy in the evenings but David is still a very demanding and needy little man. He has outgrown his hatred of diaper changes though. Rachel has been suffering from heat rash; the little girl gets hot very quickly, especially in the warm weather after riding in the car seat. They both are not fond of their expensive stroller yet, hopefully soon. But they are quite happy in their car seats as long as the vehicle is moving…red lights are a no- no!

Mommy & Daddy are so very happy and amazed at how beautiful and sweet David & Rachel are. If we could only go a bit longer than 3 hours between feedings at night, we’d be golden. With a little luck it will happen soon.
