Busy weeks ahead...

I'm really enjoying our few days off work, though its been full of info.

We went to another Seminar last Tuesday, same info as before really. We did manage to talk to the financial counslers. We'll have to pay for the initial evaluation and all the blood work, ultrasounds, exams and such so they can decide what we need to do, THEN we'll hopefully go for an IUI which they estimate at about 1-2K. Beyond that IVF is gonna be around $25,000 *if* we can apply for the shared-risk program they have.....which is basically we get to try 3 fresh IVF cycles and 3 FET cycles (which is using frozen embryos). If there is no baby after all that then we'd get 70% of our money back. I'd rather have a baby than the money back.

Of course if we don't qualify for the shared-risk program then it will be $25,000 for just 2 IVF cycles. The financial lady did say that it generally takes 2 cycles, and to be honest I'm not sure I could do more than 2 IVF cycles.

So, we have an appointment on August 27th for our initial workup. I *should* be ovulating around that day so hopefully they can tell by the ultrasound how many eggs I've got ready to go, without being on any meds.

As for Andrew, he had some blood tests done awhile back.... I had literally just written a check to the lab for $350 when the urologist office called and said one of his tests were abnormal, so he's going in on Monday for repeat blood work. Later on Thursday we'll go in for a follow up to discuss his results.

I also went to a Chiropractor on Thursday, then again this past Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed that!! My spine was a bit off center, so he cracked my neck and my upper back...bliss. He also adjusted my lower back which I'm hoping will help with fertility, as there have been several studies done about it....he said he's had 2 cases of ladies who got preggo after being treated. I have to go back 3 more times next week! Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.

Andrew has a physical exam on Tuesday (14th) for the insurance company before they will insure him... cutting it very close since we requested the insurance to begin on the 15th and his uro appointment is on the 16th. I'm not sure how that will all work out.

So, for the next week we have 6 appointments in 4 days. And I actually may try to make it 7 to get some blood work done for me that the OB should have done a couple years ago! But thats another vent.
