Attempt #2

I finished my birth control pills. I had quite a bit of ovary pain with them and a few feverish hot flashes, but I had hopes that my cyst was going away so I could handle it.

I went for my ultrasound & bloodwork this morning. I was pretty prepared (or so I thought) for them to say the cyst is still there at the worst. Wrong!

My cyst from before was around 2.5 cm, it has now virtually doubled to 6 cm!! No freaking wonder I've been in agony lately!! I had a different doctor doing the u/s and the look on his face was slightly worrying. He said he wouldn't make a judgement about what to do and left it up to my normal doctor. Freaking wonderful.

The nurse for my doc finally called, I won't be using the $100 medications I had delivered yesterday. I'm to do nothing...so far we have a debt of $1000+ with these doctors for nothing - though I know its not their fault. I have another appointment for November 5th for yet another ultrasound and then a discussion with the doctor about what exactly is the next step. I'm very disappointed to say the least. The bright side ? At least we have that .01% chance of trying naturally this cycle instead of being on bcp.

My guess is that depending on the size of this cyst at the Nov 5th appointment, my only real option is another laparsocopy. If I can get it scheduled before the end of the year, then at least it will be free and the insurance will cover it.

Blah. Very very blah.


on another note: It was very nice having the Captain over for a visit, we enjoyed good food & good weather. Its amazing how quiet the house is after a guest leaves.
