Foo Fighters :-D

Well that was a freaking BRILLIANT gig.

We went to a small cafe before the concert, I don't think the place had even officially opened yet. We ate an Etricean/Ethiopian (!?) meal. It was pretty good, fairly spicy and very very different. Eating with a flat bread that is kinda rubbery and using your hands instead of forks, definitely odd.

Those extra tickets from my cousin ? Well turns out she sent them to us only 3 days before the concert which gave us NO time to re-sell them...our tickets were better. And she charged us more, urgh. Won't be doing that again. Lost out about $115 on that deal.

BUT it was totally worth it. It was the absolute BEST rock concert I've ever been too, and it was amazingly LOUD.... I just love the feeling of ringing/aching ears after a wonderful gig. The whole place was roaring!! The crowd was very into the Foos.

They played for ages, and Dave made a few silly jokes. 'We'll play new shit, old shit, rock shit, acoustic shit, lots of shit' There was some forgotten lyrics to "Stacked Actors" to which he blamed having a 'drinkie-poo before the show makes it all fucked up'.

He jumped into the crowd and did some guitar playing...lots of jamming, lots of screaming - Good Lord that man can scream!! mmmmmmm!

I can't remember all the songs but what I can were all amazing: Let it Die, Pretender, Breakout, Monkey Wrench, My Hero, Stacked Actors, Long Road to Ruin, Aurora, Best of You - excellent closing song!, Marigold, Skin & Bones, Everlong, Cheer Up Boys, But Honestly, Times Like These, All My Life...and I'm sure there were more!! We seem to have forgotten to take our camera battery & binoculars - sheesh. We didn't really need binoculars since we were closer than expected, and I took some pics on my phone that I'll upload later.

I do kinda wish we could have been right up front jumping around, but it was great just where we were, behind the sound deck. Highly recommend seeing them, and getting the new album.
