Getting closer...

They are still doing well. We are just waiting for them to eat and be able to gain weight. Rachel has had her feeding tube removed; David is only a few days behind. While they are doing just as expected they are taking their time learning to eat well.

The little kiddos just get so tired and spend so much energy eating that it's overwhelming for them. Even being 36 weeks today it is still very early for them so we will just continue to wait until they are ready.

The last few days have been extremely hard for me to leave them at the hospital. In the beginning I knew it was best for them to stay there since they needed all of the monitoring equipment, breathing support, medication, etc., but now they have fewer tubes/wires I feel like we could take them home with no problems. The Dr/nurses just want to make sure they will continue to do well for awhile longer. I know its for the best but I am SO freaking ready....5 years, 7 months, 6 days since my biological clock started ticking loudly. (Not that I'm counting!)
