Properly fitted

Ohh yeah, thats a pair of properly fitted size 9 1/2 Saucony Grid Trigon 4 Guide running shoes :) and a pair of balga socks. I finally bought some shoes to fit my crooked, flat, wide feet and it feels like heaven! I went to Fleet Feet store and had a nice young man do what a REAL shoe salesman should do. He measured my foot in a resting position, while I was standing up AND he watched me walk on a treadmill to see how my foot falls with each step. Beautiful.

He brought out 3 choices of shoe for me, and as tempted as I was for the pair of Nike's for the potential of getting a Nike+ sport kit (which they also sold) I went for the more comfortable option after knowing some inside info from G ;)

I had no foot pains at all today when I took them for a test run...very pleased. I'm at just over 2 miles a day now. And while I can zone out and enjoy it, the rest of my body is falling apart. My knees have started aching, but I'm hoping the change of shoe will stop that.... along with some rib pains which has confused the crap outta me. Otherwise, I'm loving it and will be trying to keep it going for as long as I can.

Oh yeah, the reason I was allowed to spend $100 on some new shoes was because someone else...ahem, Andrew... got a speeding ticket the same day. *shaking head* What can ya say? Guess we'll be getting a lawyer to get outta that one.

Yay for new shoes! We are in sync with our purchases, I went with mizuno's, though I have always been a Nike girl. We shall see how they work. My feet are bit archless as well. Tonight I did notice the knee issues but I ran some killer bleachers on Saturday, so I am assuming it is from that or the bar dancing I did that evening.
(j/k on the bar dancing)

Yup bar dancing will ruin a girl's knees after only a couple songs. Its all in the shoes! :)
