Run

Run Forest Run!! or 'Run' by Snow Patrol

Thats what usually pops into my head when I see the word run. Lately I've been inspired to start running again. Back in England it was my sisters-in-law that would kick my arse and make me want to run..... and I did OK, while they did great!

At one point I was running a mile in the mornings before work in hopes that I could make it through a work day without taking a lunchtime nap. Yes, I used to sleep in my car every lunchtime... not sure what the cause of that was, perhaps my body never adjusted to UK time? I loved the way it made me feel, and the way it made my legs look....and so did Andrew :) For whatever reason (stress fracture, blisters, poor excuses and most likely the freezing wet weather) I stopped the runs and never got the urge to go again.

Anyway, I've now been inspired by several different reasons to start running again. Back in November we bought a treadmill, and I used it the first day or so, then it became a very expensive clothes rack. But now, with the 'New Year' feelings of needing to accomplish something, my good friend G, and the need to focus on something other than babies while we wait... I've started running again.

Now I'll admit that I've only done it for 2 days, today is day #3, but I can already feel a huge difference. My legs aren't killing me like the morning of day #2 and I actually woke up in a good mood. Honestly, this does not happen very often. I am truly NOT a morning person. No... please really do not even look at me until 10 am at the earliest, and that is as long as I've had a green tea or some hot chocolate.

Also taking some insight from G, I set up my Chocolate phone to have a playlist to keep me going during the run. And its worked very well.
My playlist includes quite a lot of Foo Fighters, Electric Six (nothing like running to Gay Bar), Stereophonics, and a few others.

I enjoy the flush feeling on my face after a run. While it may not look so great, I can just tell its doing me good. And thats what I need right now, something to do me good.

Yay!!! I am so glad you are running! Doesn't it make the world of difference? It would be sooooo cool if you got a NikePlus too, and then you could be in the challenge. Come on, I know you want to! ;)

Actually you only have to get the ipod and nikeplus kit, you can fit the chip in any shoes(but keep that on the dl, I don't think Nike would be down with me spreading that info along)...

HA! Nike is gonna bust you! So, does it have to be a certain kind of iPod, or just any of them? Like the cheaper Nano? *surfing eBay*
