Searching for something to do rather than work... I thought, hmm... I wonder if my insurance claim has been made for my laparoscopy.
So over to the insurance website I go. I'm expecting it to be a very large charge, 16-20K. It would appear I'm off by a few grand.
The hospital has charged my insurance company 27,000 dollars! The doctor charged just over $2,000 and pathology charged $180. I guess the $180 is for disposal of my ovary ?? Andrew said we could have used it for fishing bait and saved them money.
Anyways, I'm soooo glad I do not have to pay the entire amount, but still. $30,000 total!! No wonder the healthcare system in this country is royally screwed up.
